About the Client

Our client is an established accountancy and professional services firm with a strong Corporate Tax offering. The team works closely with a varied client base, providing compliance, tax accounting and advisory support across a range of UK tax matters.

The Role

  • Manage a portfolio of less complex Corporate Tax clients with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare and review corporation tax returns and tax accounting workings, including current and deferred tax.
  • Calculate, understand and explain current and deferred tax charges, ensuring accurate delivery to clients.
  • Support advisory assignments, including technical research around reorganisations and one-off transactions.
  • Liaise with HMRC on technical and client-specific queries, resolving issues where appropriate.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, support and feedback to junior members of the team.
  • Take responsibility for workflow planning, budgets, deadlines and managing multiple assignments effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to add value to clients while recognising when more complex technical matters need to be escalated.

Your Experience

  • Experience gained within an accountancy or professional services practice environment.
  • Strong Corporate Tax compliance experience, including preparation and review of corporation tax returns.
  • Experience with tax accounting, including current and deferred tax calculations.
  • Comfortable managing a portfolio of clients and balancing multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Experience supporting or developing junior team members and providing day-to-day technical guidance.
  • ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualification, or qualified by experience.
