Job Description
About the Role
As a Senior Business Tax Manager, you will take ownership of delivering tax services to clients, developing your team, and expanding our services to meet evolving client needs. You will apply your expertise across compliance and advisory services, actively contribute to marketing initiatives, and work in a dynamic, inclusive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply corporate tax experience across compliance and advisory services
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, potential clients, and senior leaders
- Lead the delivery of high-quality, proactive tax services to a portfolio of clients, ensuring alignment with best practices, internal controls, and review processes
- Monitor progress, manage risk, and keep stakeholders informed about outcomes, including any deviation from budget or timelines
- Foster a no-excuse, inclusive, and collaborative team environment, including the mentoring and coaching of junior colleagues
- Act as a technical expert in tax principles and standards, ensuring high standards of professionalism
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Tax practice, engaging in business development and financial objectives, including meeting new business targets and ensuring timely billing and collections
- Identify and implement process improvements and participate in strategic and technology projects within the Tax practice

Requirements
Skills and Experience
- Significant corporate tax experience, whether gained in the profession or industry
- Proven ability to stay updated on current tax legislation and apply it to complex, detailed client work
- Experience in mentoring both clients and employees
- Development of business development skills to support wider firm growth

- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA) and/or
- Qualified tax advisor (CTA)
