A highly regarded top 10 firm within the accountancy sector is expanding its tax leadership team in Bury St Edmunds and is seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Senior Manager to oversee a substantial corporate portfolio. The client base includes ambitious owner-managed businesses, larger group structures and PE-backed entities, with a strong pipeline of advisory-led work.
This Corporate Tax Senior Manager role combines portfolio ownership, complex advisory exposure and responsibility for shaping the team around you.
The role
Based in Bury St Edmunds, you'll lead a varied portfolio of corporate clients while working closely with Partners on transactions, structuring and strategic planning matters. The firm operates within the accountancy market and has built a reputation for combining technical depth with commercially grounded advice.

As a Corporate Tax Senior Manager, you'll move beyond day-to-day compliance oversight and into higher-value advisory conversations, supporting clients through growth, acquisitions and investment events.
What you'll be doing
- Leading a substantial portfolio of corporate clients including OMBs and larger groups
- Overseeing corporation tax compliance at a strategic level
- Advising on restructures, group reorganisations and international considerations where relevant
- Supporting due diligence and PE-backed transactions
- Driving identification of tax planning opportunities across the client base
- Managing WIP, billing and contributing to fee strategy
- Coaching Managers and Assistant Managers
- Supporting Partner-level business development activity

What we're looking for
- ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified
- Significant corporate tax experience gained within accountancy
- Proven track record managing complex group structures
- Strong advisory capability alongside compliance oversight
- Experience dealing with investor-backed or acquisitive businesses
- Commercial confidence and the ability to lead client relationships
