Corporate Treasury

We're a team of specialists charged with managing the firm’s funding, liquidity, capital and relationships with creditors and regulators. Corporate Treasury manages the firm’s financial resources and minimizes interest expense through liability planning, asset liability management, and liquidity portfolio yield enhancement. The division is ideal for collaborative individuals who have strong quantitative analysis skills and risk management capabilities since Treasury actively manages the firm’s financial resources which are constantly changing due to business activity, markets, risk appetite, regulations and other factors

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Corporate Treasury is looking for a Vice President to join its Funding Execution team in New York. The Funding Execution team is responsible for pricing and risk management of external secured and unsecured funding structures, as well as optimizing the firm’s capital and liquidity metrics associated with Treasury funding trades. The desk works closely with other parts of Corporate Treasury and sales, trading and structuring teams within the firm’s Global Markets & Banking division to source funding required by firms’ asset side businesses. The Funding Execution product suite includes repos, collateral upgrades, swaps, loans, benchmark debt, bond borrows and notes as well as other more complex products, all used to deliver financing solutions for both the firm and its clients. The Execution team works out of the New York, London, Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong offices.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute and price secured and unsecured, structured and vanilla funding transactions across the firm’s liability spectrum

  • Partner with Structuring, Technology, Strats, Sales and Trading to deliver financing solutions for clients while expanding and diversifying the firm’s funding franchise

  • Generate and implement trade ideas that reduce interest expense, optimize capital consumption and enhance firm/regulatory liquidity metrics

  • Manage funding, interest rate, basis, cross-currency and FX risks associated with existing and prospective funding transactions

  • Support the sustainable growth and diversification of the firm’s secured and unsecured funding footprint

  • Partner with sales teams across the firm to understand counterparty funding capabilities and how they can best be met with firm funding products offered

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Bachelors degree required

  • 6+ years of trading and/or risk management experience in funding, financing or rates markets

  • Strong understanding of secured and unsecured funding markets, including repos, securities lending and derivative-based funding solutions

  • Understanding of balance sheet, capital and liquidity considerations and their impact on funding decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex transactions, challenge assumptions and exercise independent judgement
