Cost Accounting Manager

£55,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

Teesside (On-Site)

Reporting to the Finance Director

Newman Stewart is partnering with a leading volume manufacturer to recruit a Cost Accounting Manager.

Our client is a world-class manufacturing business and part of a globally recognised brand. Operating from its advanced manufacturing facility in Teesside, they design, develop and manufacture high-quality components supplied globally. They are recognised for their commitment to innovation, operational excellence and continuous improvement within a highly automated manufacturing environment.

As the business continues to evolve, an opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded and technically strong Cost Accounting Manager to join the finance leadership team.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the site's standard costing model and provide critical financial insight to support manufacturing performance and decision making.

This is a highly visible role sitting at the heart of operations and finance, requiring close collaboration with production, engineering, supply chain and senior management teams.

You will be responsible for maintaining and developing robust costing processes, ensuring the integrity of product costing and inventory valuation, whilst driving deeper understanding of operational performance across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
