The Role
The Cost Administrator is responsible for the accurate coordination, maintenance, and administration of approved product and project costings within the business. Working closely with Commercial, Engineering, Operations, and Sales, the role ensures that costing data, Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and product master data are accurately maintained within the ERP system.
This position plays a key part in supporting product profitability, quotations, and tenders, and maintaining data integrity across both standard filter products and bespoke project work.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain accurate costings for standard filter products and bespoke projects using approved costing methods and source information.
- Calculate material, labour, and manufacturing costs including routings, setup and run times, subcontract costs, and applicable manufacturing overheads.
- Maintain supplier pricing within the ERP system using information provided and approved by Purchasing.
- Create, maintain, and update approved Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the ERP system.
- Ensure approved BOM and routing information is accurately reflected within the ERP system.
- Highlight missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information to the relevant data owner.
- Maintain costing data within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or ERP system).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to costing and data management.
- Provide costing analysis to assist management with business decisions.

Essential
- Experience in a costing, commercial, or manufacturing administration role.
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment and a good understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Experience creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routings.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Knowledge of product costing methodologies.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience supporting quotation or tender processes.
- Experience producing project cost and variance reports.
- Understanding of manufacturing labour, work-centre, and overhead costing.
