Position Summary
We are looking for a Cost Analyst to work closely with the Aerospace Procurement Category teams.
As a Cost Analyst you will be focused on supporting the Procurement Team on data analysis for our cost initiatives, headwinds and market intelligence, using this data to identify trends headwinds and opportunities for cost reduction and cost avoidance.
You will work with Buyers and Category Managers across all areas of the Aerospace Procurement team and a wide scope of stakeholders. You will also support the upward reporting cycle on Cost.
What you will be doing
- Data Analysis: Collaborate with the Procurement and Value Stream Teams to dive deep into Procurement cost data, uncovering market trends and pinpointing key cost drivers. Your insights will spotlight opportunities to reduce costs and optimize performance as you hunt for actionable patterns and innovative savings.
- Cost Transformation: Act as a vital link across all cost transformation workstreams, including the Negotiation Factory, Best Cost Country, and Headwinds Control Tower. You’ll drive the sharing of data insights and foster connections, ensuring we maximize opportunities and proactively address risks—unlocking greater value and strengthening our competitive edge.
- Governance and reporting: You will take the helm in analysing and delivering insightful reports for our monthly cost governance cycles, driving informed decision-making and ensuring transparency at every step.
- Championing Tools and Processes: You’ll become an expert in analysing data, actively supporting transformation initiatives to deliver clearer, more actionable digital insights for our cost-saving projects. Your leadership will help unlock the full potential of streamlining our approach to cost initiatives and enhancing our data-driven decision-making.
- Providing strategic procurement support to the category teams, empowering them to achieve their goals and deliver maximum value.

Position qualifications
- Experience working in procurement or supplier facing roles previously.
- Strong experience of data analysis, providing hypothesis and financial opportunities. Attention to detail on data analysis is a critical skill needed for this role.
- Good interpersonal, and people management skills and confident to talk to a wide range of stakeholders at various levels, functions, and areas of the business.
- Can work at pace with a level of pragmatism and tenacity.
- Transformational mindset, willing to look at alternative approaches and different ways of working, which may challenge the norms and context of today.
- Insatiable curiosity and happy to spend time reading and scrutinising contracts and data to draw conclusions for opportunities.
- Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working.
