Role Overview

An opportunity for an experienced Procurement Finance Analyst / Cost Analyst to establish and develop a dedicated procurement financial analysis capability within the client’s Rotary Wing Enterprise (RWE) Supply Chain organisation.

Working closely with Procurement, Supplier Management, Finance, and Engineering teams, the successful candidate will provide financial and commercial analysis of complex supplier proposals, assess cost structures, and establish fair and reasonable pricing positions to support procurement decisions and contract negotiations.

The role combines cost and price analysis, supplier financial assessment, estimating, commercial negotiation support, and supply chain performance management, using quantitative analysis, economic indicators, market intelligence, and cost modelling to identify efficiencies, mitigate commercial risks, and deliver value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost & Price Analysis: Lead detailed financial analysis of supplier proposals, assessing pricing structures, cost estimates, and commercial viability to establish fair and reasonable pricing positions.
  • Procurement Financial Capability: Establish and develop the UK RWE Procurement Finance Analyst function, adopting best practices, processes, and methodologies from across the wider enterprise.
  • Supplier Financial Assessment: Evaluate supplier financial performance, cost structures, and commercial arrangements, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency, and improved value.
  • Estimating & Cost Modelling: Develop and validate cost estimates using historical data, statistical analysis, parametric models, technical requirements, and market intelligence.
  • Economic & Market Analysis: Monitor macroeconomic and microeconomic indicators, including inflation indices, foreign exchange movements, market trends, and legislative changes affecting supply chain costs.
  • Commercial Negotiations: Support Procurement and Supplier Management teams in developing negotiation strategies, substantiating cost estimates, and negotiating commercially competitive contracts for goods and services.
  • Contract Pricing & Spend Analysis: Assess firm-price and cost-plus supplier arrangements, analyse expenditure profiles, and support effective material cost planning, tracking, and forecasting.
  • Financial Reporting & KPIs: Develop performance metrics, management reports, and financial dashboards to monitor supplier performance, material expenditure, and supply chain financial performance against plan.
  • Supplier Auditing & Compliance: Conduct financial, operational, proposal, and procedural reviews of supplier information, ensuring compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Bid & Proposal Support: Contribute to bid packages, supplier source selection, and proposal evaluations in accordance with Integrated Business Acquisition Process (IBAP).
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Programme Management teams to improve financial visibility, strengthen commercial decision-making, and implement effective processes.
  • Stakeholder & Supplier Engagement: Represent Supply Chain Management at programme reviews, lead key supplier meetings, and present financial analysis, recommendations, and performance updates to stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
