    • Consisting predominantly of financial analysis of LM proposals, incorporating supplier and LM cost data
    • Set up the proposal in LM’s pricing system (ProPricer)
    • Oversee the inputs (Bases of Estimate, BOEs) to the ProPricer tool
    • Analyse the cost inputs, identifying risks and opportunities to the financial proposition
    • Develop a working knowledge of the LM pricing rate structure and the ability to modify the standard rates to meet specific proposal requirements when needed
    • Analyse foreign currency content, establish sufficient reserves in the bids, identify amounts requiring hedge contracts, report foreign currency content to LM Corporate Treasury
    • Establish the appropriate level of executive approval for the proposal and co-ordinate the approval meeting
    • Presenting the Pricing at the approval meeting and ensure the required approvals are obtained and held for future reference.
  • Identify and maintain compliance to all relevant corporate policies, site procedures and department processes.
  • Meet deadlines according to proposal schedules, completing appropriate analysis, review and approvals.
  • Ensure relevant risks and opportunities are identified, highlighted and communicated.
  • Participate in administrative aspects of the department activities, including maintenance of accurate and complete records.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
