ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Framework Lead to join our commercial team, supporting a portfolio of major infrastructure frameworks, primarily within the water sector.
The successful candidate will take a lead role in the commercial management and performance of allocated frameworks, working closely with clients, project teams and internal stakeholders to ensure effective commercial delivery, contract compliance and continuous improvement.
We are particularly interested in candidates with strong water sector and NEC experience, alongside previous experience working in a senior commercial or framework management capacity.
Both permanent and freelance candidates will be considered.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the commercial delivery and performance of allocated frameworks, supporting the successful delivery of major infrastructure programmes.
- Develop and implement effective commercial strategies, processes and ways of working to support programme objectives and maximise commercial performance.
- Act as the primary commercial lead for the company on allocated frameworks, providing commercial guidance and leadership to project teams.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.
- Represent the company at commercial reviews, framework meetings and senior client discussions.
- Ensure commercial obligations and contractual requirements are effectively managed and administered.
- Provide commercial oversight across NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including change management, compensation events, valuations and commercial correspondence.
- Monitor commercial performance, risks and opportunities across the framework and ensure appropriate actions are implemented.
- Support the Infrastructure Director with the development and growth of the commercial business, including opportunities within existing and new frameworks.
- Ensure the company's commercial interests are protected while maintaining positive and collaborative client relationships.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, standardisation and more efficient commercial ways of working.
- Provide commercial leadership, mentoring and support to project and commercial teams where required.

SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong experience within the water, utilities or wider infrastructure sector.
- Proven experience in a senior commercial, framework management or commercial leadership role.
- Strong understanding of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts and commercial management.
- Experience managing commercial performance across a portfolio of projects or a major framework.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to identify and manage commercial risks, opportunities and contractual obligations.
- Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related degree/equivalent qualification desirable.
- Consultancy experience desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
