We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Cost Controller to join a major nuclear infrastructure project based near Whitehaven. This role will play a critical part in the financial control of complex engineering and construction projects, supporting project teams through detailed cost analysis, forecasting and reporting to ensure projects are delivered within budget and achieve commercial objectives.

This position would suit a Cost Controller with experience in nuclear infrastructure projects who genuinely enjoys working with large volumes of data. It will appeal to someone who lives and breathes Excel, enjoys analysing costs and trends, and takes pride in producing accurate financial information that supports key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyse and report project costs, identifying trends, risks and budget deviations
  • Prepare Cost to Complete forecasts, monthly cost/value reconciliations and commercial performance reports
  • Produce KPI reports and support project teams with accurate cost coding, budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Analyse project expenditure, prepare accruals and ensure costs are correctly allocated across work packages
  • Work closely with project managers, commercial teams and procurement to provide financial insight and support effective project delivery

In return you’ll receive a salary up to £60k, £5,750 car allowance, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, up to 8% employer pension contribution and private medical insurance.
