Location: On-site in Knutsford, Cheshire, North-West England (not remote)

Your purpose will be:
The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring budgets, tracking expenditures, and providing financial insights that ensure cost efficiency and alignment with company objectives. Playing a key part in driving financial discipline, improving forecasting accuracy, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Job Description
- Develop, maintain, and manage cost control systems and procedures.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and variance analyses to highlight risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Monitor and track budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
- Review and validate supplier invoices, purchase orders, and change orders for accuracy.
- Conduct monthly cost reviews and prepare reports for senior management.
- Assist in developing financial models and KPIs to improve cost performance visibility.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external audit requirements.
- Additional responsibilities in absence of line manager or senior employee.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned including working in a different department or restaurant, than usually assigned.
Qualifications
Essential:
- A proven track record and ability to provide high levels of service under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task while maintaining an immaculate and professional appearance.
- An understanding and willingness to contribute to a 24h operational schedule when required.

Desirable:
- Previous experience within a luxury hotel environment working with LQA, Forbes 5* or equivalent standards.
