We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Cost Engineer to join a leading consultancy supporting the delivery of major energy and infrastructure projects. Working within a collaborative Project Controls team, you'll play a key role in providing cost forecasting, reporting and performance analysis across large-scale construction packages, helping to ensure projects are delivered successfully and within budget.

This position would suit a Cost Engineer with experience on major construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial projects who enjoys analysing complex data and influencing project performance. It will appeal to someone with excellent Excel skills who is confident working with project teams, contractors and commercial stakeholders to provide robust cost control and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce package-level cost forecasts, variance analysis and Forecast to Complete reporting across major construction projects
  • Monitor project performance, identifying cost trends, risks and opportunities while providing accurate cost reporting to stakeholders
  • Review contractor and subcontractor cost data, ensuring alignment with project progress and commercial information
  • Work closely with Planning, Quantity Surveying, Commercial and Construction teams to deliver integrated project controls
  • Support cost assurance, change management and early warning processes to help maintain project performance and financial control
