We're seeking an experienced and motivated Cost Manager/Associate Cost Manager to join our growing team, supporting the delivery of a high-profile programme of projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, technically challenging developments with project values varying from £5million+, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The Role
You will play a key role in managing the commercial and financial performance of construction projects from inception through to completion. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide expert cost management and commercial guidance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the financial and commercial aspects of construction projects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare valuations, cost reports, forecasts and financial analyses to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor project budgets, identifying risks and opportunities while ensuring effective cost control.
- Provide advice on procurement strategies, contract administration and commercial matters.
- Assess and manage contractual claims and variations.
- Produce clear commercial reports and present key financial updates to project stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, design teams and client representatives to achieve successful project outcomes.
About You
We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded professional who enjoys building strong relationships and delivering high-quality cost management services. You'll ideally have:
- Experience in Cost Management or Quantity Surveying within a consultancy or professional services environment.
- Eligibility to obtain, or current possession of, SC Security Clearance.
- Previous experience working on government, defence or secure-sector projects (desirable).
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent budgeting, forecasting and cost reporting skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and report-writing abilities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- MRICS status or working towards chartership would be advantageous.
