We’re on an exciting growth journey and are looking for a driven, enthusiastic Cost Manager to join our thriving Birmingham team.
We work across sectors, including healthcare, education, commercial, residential, defence, and heritage. With Pick Everard, you can expect to be able to diversify your experience and work with some high profile, prestigious clients.

Your Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the successful delivery of projects across the education, healthcare, and heritage sectors, with values ranging from £5m to £250m.
- Preparing accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, contract documentation, and project reports.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring a high standard of service and successful project outcomes.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and taking responsibility for managing your own projects from inception to completion.
- Managing the day-to-day planning, programming, and coordination of project activities.
- Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and best practices.

About You
Our ideal Cost Manager will have:
- A relevant qualification and/or demonstrable experience in Cost Management within a consultancy environment.
- Proven experience managing projects across the built environment, including feasibility studies, detailed cost planning, and both pre- and post-contract cost management.
- A thorough understanding of the principal standard forms of building contracts, including JCT and NEC.
- Experience of building and maintaining effective client relationships, with the confidence to liaise directly with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage day-to-day project programming and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality reports and deliver engaging project presentations.
- MRICS qualification and Chartered Surveyor status.
- A commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and maintaining professional standards.
