Cafe Supervisor
We're currently recruiting a dedicated Cafe Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in a major High Street brand on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
Health, Safety & Food Safety
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained throughout every shift.
- Lead by example and ensure all colleagues work safely and follow company procedures.
- Ensure Food Safety standards are maintained at all times, including temperature checks, cleaning schedules, and allergen controls.
- Take immediate corrective action where standards are not met and escalate issues to the Unit Manager.
- Report equipment faults that could affect food safety or colleague/customer safety.
Operational Standards
- Complete or oversee all required brand logs, records, and daily routines.
- Ensure the unit is maintained to brand standards and is audit ready at all times.
- Complete opening and closing procedures, ensuring the unit is left secure and compliant.
- Place orders as required and check deliveries are received, stored, and recorded correctly.
- Monitor stock rotation, date coding, and product quality, removing any out-of-date stock and recording waste correctly.

Leadership & Team Development
- Lead the shift and allocate duties effectively.
- Support the induction and training of new colleagues.
- Coach and develop Baristas/CSAs to achieve brand, food safety, and customer service standards.
- Address minor performance issues through coaching and escalate ongoing concerns to the Unit Manager.
- Communicate effectively during shift handovers.
Customer Experience
- Ensure every customer receives excellent service.
- Encourage proactive customer engagement.
- Drive sales through effective upselling.
- Review and support customer experience measures including NPS and Mystery Shopper results.
Profit Protection & Security
- Ensure all Profit Protection procedures are followed.
- Complete safe counts, till checks, and cash handling procedures.
- Ensure lockers and personal belongings comply with company policy.
- Follow colleague search procedures where applicable.
- Maintain key security and report suspicious activity immediately.

General Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of current brand standards and updates.
- Escalate customer complaints, accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly.
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour at all times.
