Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – PRN
Orchard Post Acute
Pay Range: $40.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience
Orchard Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive interdisciplinary team while helping residents improve their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Follow individualized plans of care and established therapy goals
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, mobility, coordination, strength, and functional skills
- Teach residents how to safely use adaptive equipment and techniques
- Observe and document residents’ progress, responses to treatment, and changes in condition
- Communicate resident updates and concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, safety, and treatment recommendations
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Follow all facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current California COTA license in good standing
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to resident-centered care
