We’re recruiting a counter-balance forklift driver for a busy building merchants’ site in the Bideford area. This is a temp-to-perm role, giving you the chance to prove yourself on-site with a view to a permanent position. Ideal for an experienced forklift operator looking for stable, long-term hours in a fast-paced yard and warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate a counter-balance forklift to load, unload and move building materials safely and efficiently
- Assist with general yard and warehouse duties, including stock movement and organisation
- Support the wider team with day-to-day site operations
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any faults
- Work safely at all times, following site health and safety procedures

Qualifications
Essential:
- Valid counter-balance forklift licence or certificate
- Previous experience operating a counter-balance forklift in a similar environment
Desirable
- Experience working in a builder’s merchants, timber yard or similar setting
- Good general fitness and comfortable working outdoors in all weathers
Benefits
- £14.24 per hour, PAYE Advance
- Temp-to-perm opportunity, with a permanent role available after a successful trial period
- Monday to Friday working pattern, 07:30 to 16:00
- 30 minutes paid or unpaid break each day
