The Role
Counter Manager – John Lewis and Partners Oxford Street, London
Full time (35 hours)
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and inspirational Counter Manager. You will be working In John Lewis, focusing on driving our retail business. You will be skincare obsessed with a passion for delivering outstanding customer care and achieving sales targets.
You will have total accountability for creating and executing your business plan to recruit and retain customers through strategic targeting, driving KPI’s through impactful in-store events and services, exceptional customer relationship management and oversee and develop a team member. You will also excel in building collaborative relationships with the John Lewis team.

As an expert in skincare, you will be able to talk confidently about the skin and recommend appropriate products for your customer. A confident personality is essential. You must be comfortable and confident with applying product onto customers faces and conducting shop floor mini facials (Glow Boosters) which you will receive training on.
Key Skills
- A passion for skincare.
- Previous premium retail experience of at least 2 years.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering outstanding customer care.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Developing, coaching and managing team members.
- Confident in completing weekly sales sheets and giving relevant feedback to line manager.
- Understand the importance of and be able to build a loyal customer base.
- Self-motivated and results driven.
- Be able to create an exceptional experience for your clients which is authentic and tailored to their personal needs.
- Be able to build collaborative relationships with both the in-stores teams and management.
- Perform in-store services (Skin consultations / mini facials).
- Take part in in-store events.
- Be a brand ambassador.
- High standards of grooming.
