Role Description
The Counter Sales role at HSS is a full-time, on-site position based in Hounslow. In this role, you will:

- Discuss their project or business needs
- Recommend suitable tools and equipment
- Prepare quotes
- Process hire agreements
- Handle payments
- Manage reservations and returns in the system

The role involves:
- Maintaining product knowledge
- Explaining equipment features and safety information
- Ensuring the counter area and showroom are well-presented
You will work with colleagues to:
- Meet sales targets
- Support stock checks
- Provide a consistent, customer-focused experience
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage with customers, understand their needs, and provide clear, helpful information.
- Proven Sales capability, with the ability to recommend products, close hires, and support basic Sales Management activities such as meeting targets.
- Experience delivering or supporting Training for customers or team members on product use, safety, or sales processes.
- Basic IT and point-of-sale system proficiency, including handling transactions, bookings, and customer records.
- Ability to work on-site in Hounslow, including standing for periods and handling light to moderate manual tasks related to equipment hire.
- Previous experience in retail, trade counter, hire, or similar customer-facing environment is beneficial.
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, or construction-related products is an advantage, with willingness to learn and expand product expertise.
