About The Role
Based in Erdington, this full-time Counterbalance Driver / Warehouse Operative role with Pertemps Birmingham Commercial pays £13.25 to £14.70 per hour. Training initially runs 08:00–16:00, Monday to Friday, before moving to rotating shifts of 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00. The successful candidate will operate a counterbalance forklift safely, load and unload vehicles, pick and relocate stock, and put goods away while keeping the warehouse tidy. General warehouse tasks are also part of the job, so flexibility and a willingness to support colleagues are essential. Applicants should hold a valid counterbalance licence, demonstrate confident forklift handling, and show reliability and a strong work ethic.

Hours: Monday to Friday
Training Hours: 08:00 – 16:00

Pay Rate: £13.40 – £14.70 per hour
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking CB Driver / Warehouse Operative.
The successful candidate will be a confident CB driver who is also happy to get involved with general warehouse duties when required. This is a hands-on role, so flexibility and a willingness to support the wider warehouse team are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a CB forklift safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Picking and moving stock around the warehouse
- Putting stock away and maintaining an organised warehouse
- Assisting with general warehouse duties when required
- Supporting the team during busy periods
- Ensuring stock is handled safely and accurately
- Following all health & safety procedures
- Carrying out other reasonable warehouse duties as requested

About You
- Previous CB driving experience is essential
- A valid CB licence/certificate is preferred
- Previous warehouse experience
- Comfortable with loading, unloading, picking and moving stock
- Physically fit and happy to work in a hands-on warehouse environment
- Flexible and willing to carry out other duties when required
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attitude towards health & safety
