Organisation Description
Women In Deep Tech (WiDT) – Global Network of Female Innovators in Science, Technology & Engineering is a non-profit network connecting women and girls in deep tech fields across more than 30 countries. WiDT supports innovators, scientists, engineers, and technology leaders through training, mentorship, research and development, startup support, leadership bootcamps, and global events. The organisation provides access to funding opportunities, visibility for female-founded ventures, and peer-to-peer learning and skill exchange. With thousands of participants upskilled through programmes and a strong ecosystem of partners including universities, corporates, and investors, WiDT offers a supportive community focused on purpose-driven innovation. WiDT values empathy, collaboration, and transformation, and is committed to empowering women to lead and shape the future of deep tech.
Role Description
The Country Ambassador is a part-time, remote / in-country role responsible for representing Women In Deep Tech at the national level and growing the network’s presence and impact.
This position is initially volunteer-based during the foundational phase. As local operations mature, WiDT’s clear objective is for Country Ambassadors to transition into funded part-time leadership positions—actively growing the regional ecosystem whilst accommodating their existing professional commitments, research, technological ventures, or academic roles, and serving as visible role models for the wider community.
In this role, the Ambassador coordinates local projects, events, programmes, and partnerships, engaging with universities, companies, investors, and community organisations to build a strong deep tech ecosystem. Key responsibilities include:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
