The opportunity

Our client is a global food producer with UK sales of c.£350m, forecast to reach £500m in the medium-term future. This is a business entering a genuinely exciting phase of investment and growth. The Country Finance Manager will lead the financial control, reporting, planning and business-partnering agenda for the UK, ensuring robust governance while providing the insight and challenge needed to support profitable growth.

Partnering closely with the UK leadership team, you will help shape the future of the finance function as the business scales – building the team, systems and processes needed. This is a high-profile, broad-remit role combining financial control with real commercial influence.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading month-end close, management accounts and the wider reporting cycle
  • Owning balance-sheet integrity, reconciliations and the internal-control environment
  • Driving annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long-range planning
  • Owning cash forecasting and working-capital management
  • Evaluating capital investment proposals and tracking delivery of benefits
  • Coordinating statutory reporting and the annual audit with Group Finance and auditors
  • Business-partnering the leadership team with commercial insight and constructive challenge
  • Developing the finance team and improving systems and reporting capability

What we're looking for

  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven finance management or financial control experience, ideally gained in manufacturing, FMCG or another operationally complex environment
  • A strong financial-control mindset with the ability to turn data into commercial insight
  • A collaborative, credible and hands-on leader who develops people and partners effectively outside finance
