Wanted: Country Lead UK Market M&A – Legal Tech

Our client is an innovative and rapidly growing legal services company that combines high-end M&A expertise with AI and technology. They are looking for an experienced M&A lawyer to take ownership of their expansion in the UK market. This is a unique opportunity for a senior lawyer from a leading law firm to combine sophisticated transactional work with entrepreneurship, technology, and business development.
Your function
As Country Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and developing the company's presence in the UK market. You will combine your legal expertise with a strong commercial mindset and entrepreneurial approach.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising clients on M&A transactions through an AI-powered legal services model.
- Building and developing relationships with corporates, private equity funds, investors, and other M&A stakeholders.
- Originating new business opportunities and developing long-term client relationships.
- Acting as a senior trusted adviser to clients throughout their transactions.
- Working closely with legal and technology teams to continuously improve the delivery of M&A legal services.
- Contributing to the company's UK market strategy and proposition.
- Helping to recruit and build the local team as the business grows.

Your profile
- 5+ years of relevant M&A experience, ideally gained at a leading international or top-tier UK law firm.
- Strong track record advising sophisticated clients on complex M&A transactions.
- Excellent technical knowledge of M&A and corporate law.
- Strong commercial awareness and client management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and genuine appetite to build and develop a new business.
- Genuine interest in AI, legal technology, and the transformation of professional services.
- Strong networking and business development capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of English.
- Based in or willing to relocate to London.
