About the job

Join WSO2—the largest independent software vendor providing open source API management, integration, and Identity and Access Management (IAM) products—and lead our UK market charge. We're seeking a seasoned sales leader to craft a winning sales strategy, build a strong sales pipeline, and guide a high-performing team to smash targets in the UK market.

Here’s What You’ll Do

  • Drive UK market growth - spearhead initiatives and achieve ambitious revenue goals.
  • Craft a market-leading sales strategy aligned with WSO2's vision.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor your sales team to exceed quotas (both individual and team).
  • Streamline the sales cycle by developing and implementing effective processes.
  • Stay ahead of the industry curve - track trends and competitor activity to keep WSO2 on top.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize key partners based on market research, needs analysis, competitive positioning, and commercial attractiveness.
  • Secure sustainable commercial partnership agreements that continue through renewal and up-sell to maximize the customer's lifetime value. For new partnerships, develop high-growth business plans, consolidate well-considered operating assumptions, and adequate resource planning. Champion and secure approval for business plans.
  • Manage a development pipeline across the UK and partnerships, setting clear goals and tracking progress.
  • Collaborate with other teams to create new business plans (considering timelines and resources).
  • Effectively manage business activities relating to strategic and financial growth.
  • Create new strategies for marketing and monitor quality control and quality assurance measures.
  • Build effective relationships with clients and ensure revenue growth.
  • Serve as an executive spokesperson for clients, partners, and the industry via media, analysts, and speaking engagements.
  • Travel as needed.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in B2B software, preferably enterprise integration and open source middleware.
  • Deep understanding of the UK application software market and its unique needs.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills (all levels).
  • Bachelor's degree in business management (or similar).
  • Experience working with a global team.
  • Sales leadership experience with a history of driving regional growth.
  • 5+ years in a similar role and 15+ years of supervisory experience (including due diligence and financial assessment).
  • Experience in operational management, enterprise GTM, and SaaS in the UK market.
  • Charismatic, executive-level presence with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate clearly (written and verbal).
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen to drive results - you'll quickly grasp new markets and dynamics.
  • A history of successfully integrating new acquisitions (financially and operationally).
