UK Country Manager

Rely Marine is looking for a senior marine professional to strengthen and expand our presence in the UK and become the Group's lead representative in the London market. This is a technical and commercial role: marine surveying and claims expertise combined with client relationships, business development and the continued growth of our UK operation.
The Role
Working in close partnership with Management, the UK Country Manager will grow Rely Marine's UK business while staying involved in selected casualty and claims assignments.
Key responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining relationships with insurers, brokers, P&I Clubs, shipowners and managers
- Developing new business across Hull & Machinery, P&I, War Risks and related marine claims
- Representing Rely Marine in the London marine insurance market
- Providing technical input and, where appropriate, leading surveys and casualty investigations
- Coordinating UK-originated assignments with our international offices and surveyors
- Developing the UK office and, over time, building the local team

Who We're Looking For
A senior professional with solid technical expertise and a well-established position in the London market. Ideally you will bring:
- Significant experience in marine surveying, claims, loss adjusting, ship management, classification or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of Hull & Machinery claims; P&I experience is a plus
- A well-established career in the London marine insurance market, with a recognised profile among underwriters, brokers and P&I Clubs
- A deep understanding of London market practice and culture
- Proven client management and communication skills
- A commercial mindset and a track record of winning new business
- Based in the UK, with the right to work in the UK
- A background in marine engineering, naval architecture or seafaring is highly desirable.
