Murphy AI: Founding Business Lead in the UK

Murphy AI is a next-generation debt collection platform powered by artificial intelligence, designed to optimize recovery rates while maintaining respectful and personalized communication. Our advanced automation streamlines the process of collecting overdue invoices for businesses, providing a seamless and effective solution.

At Murphy AI, we’re tackling one of the toughest challenges in fintech: making debt recovery more efficient, autonomous and scalable. Our AI-powered agents adapt instantly, engaging with debtors across channels like voice, email and SMS to maximize results while preserving trust. By combining advanced artificial intelligence with powerful automation, we’re setting a new standard for how businesses recover payments.

As a fast-growing startup that has already made an impact within less than a year in the market, we are building a talented team to scale our operations and drive our vision forward 🌟

About the Role

Be Murphy's first person on the ground in The UK. This is founding our business in your market — with a proven product-market-fit and the most advanced AI product in a $300B+ blue ocean market.

Murphy builds AI voice agents that collect overdue debt for banks: more recovered, faster, cheaper, fully compliant, and respectful to the debtor. We're live with Santander, BBVA, Grenke and dozens others, backed by Northzone, ElevenLabs and Lakestar. We’ve proven the product in large-scale pilots with top-tier banks and now we're going into mid-market & international. And we need founders to own each market.

  • Open the market. Find the banks, lenders and collection agencies, get in the room, build the pipeline yourself.
  • Unlock Mid-Market. Test multiple GTM motions and contribute to a scalable playbook.
  • Learn the domain cold. Their collections operation, their systems, the local regulation — fast enough to out-expert people who've done it for 20 years.
  • Win the deal. Run discovery, shape the commercial terms, negotiate, close.
  • Own the relationship. Be the person the Head of Collections calls. Land, then expand into new products and stages. Foster the partnership and upsell products.
  • Ship the integration. Lead a pod of forward-deployed engineers who wire Murphy in and get the first live calls out.
  • Own the P&L. This is your market. Its number is your number.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

About You

  • A non-technical startup founder or head of sales in a tech company. You know how to start from nothing and make people say yes.
  • You've sold hard, complex products — ideally to banks or in a regulated, compliance-heavy environment.
  • You're sharp, autonomous, fast and operationally relentless — you pick up a complicated domain in days, not months.
  • You do not need a collections background. We'd rather teach the domain to a killer than hire a lifer who can't sell.
  • You're or were based in The UK, native-fluent, and you know how the place works.

🤝 What We Offer

  • A market to own, end to end.
  • Competitive Salary with a strong variable component.
  • Stock options: Because we all build Murphy together – you'll own a piece of what we’re creating.
  • The founding team's direct attention, and a category with a $300B+ industry behind it.
  • Hybrid & Flexible: Our default setup is hybrid – 3 days a week at our office and 2 days of remote work. But if there’s one thing that defines us, it’s flexibility: we trust you to organize your time and space in the way that helps you do your best work.
  • Local benefits including Tax benefits in transportation, restaurants and childcare services.
