A rapidly growing quantum computing company is expanding its commercial footprint across Europe and is looking to appoint an experienced Country Sales Director.

The business is developing and commercialising advanced quantum computing technology and is working with organisations across industry, technology, research and the public sector to identify and develop practical applications for quantum computing.

You will take ownership of the UK commercial strategy, managing the full sales cycle from initial market development and prospecting through to complex enterprise negotiations and deal closure.

This is an opportunity for an established sales professional from HPC, AI, quantum computing to join a growing organisation and play a key role in developing its presence within the UK market. You will work closely with international sales, business development, marketing, product and technical teams to develop strategic accounts, identify new commercial opportunities and build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the UK sales strategy, achieving and exceeding agreed revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic account and territory plans across the UK.
  • Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities across relevant enterprise, technology, research and public-sector organisations.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, partners and strategic stakeholders.
  • Manage the complete end-to-end sales process, from initial engagement through qualification, technical discussions, commercial negotiation and contract closure.
  • Develop relationships with senior executives, technical leaders and C-level stakeholders.
  • Understand customer requirements and communicate the commercial and technical value of complex quantum computing solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop existing strategic accounts and identify opportunities for expansion and increased adoption.
  • Build market awareness and establish the company as a credible technology partner within the UK.
  • Represent the organisation at industry conferences, technology events, customer meetings and other relevant forums.
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline development, commercial activity, account strategy and revenue performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
