Role Description
Location: Ringwood, Hampshire
Employment Type: Permanent | Night Shift
Join VPG, Part of Zoetis – The World's Leading Animal Health Company
At Veterinary Pathology Group (VPG), part of Zoetis, we are passionate about advancing animal health through innovative diagnostic services. Zoetis is the world's leading animal health company, dedicated to supporting veterinarians, livestock producers, and pet owners in caring for animals through industry-leading medicines, vaccines, diagnostics, and technology.
For over 70 years, Zoetis has been at the forefront of animal health, operating in more than 100 countries and driven by a purpose to nurture our world and humankind by advancing care for animals.
As part of the Zoetis family, VPG delivers trusted veterinary pathology and laboratory services across the UK and Ireland. Every sample we receive contributes to accurate diagnoses, enabling veterinary professionals to make informed decisions that improve animal health and welfare. Behind every successful diagnosis is a dedicated logistics team ensuring samples arrive safely and on time.
We're looking for a dependable and professional Courier Driver to join our Ringwood team on a permanent night shift. This is an exciting opportunity to become an essential part of a service that genuinely makes a difference to veterinary care every day.
Unlike traditional multi-drop courier roles, our routes typically involve 20–30 collection points per shift, allowing you to focus on quality, accuracy, and customer service rather than high-volume deliveries.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Courier Driver, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our diagnostic service by ensuring veterinary samples are collected and transported safely, securely, and on time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Safely driving designated collection routes while representing VPG and Zoetis professionally at all times.
- Collecting diagnostic samples from veterinary practices according to scheduled collection times.
- Ensuring all sample bags are correctly sealed, handled, and stored during transportation to preserve sample integrity.
- Sorting and organising samples for efficient laboratory processing.
- Maintaining accurate collection records and delivery documentation.
- Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and promptly reporting any defects or maintenance concerns.
- Keeping the company vehicle clean, presentable, and roadworthy.
- Following all company Health & Safety procedures, including manual handling requirements and COSHH regulations.
- Building positive working relationships with veterinary practices through professional and courteous service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
