Courier Driver - Zero Hours - Coventry

We have an exciting opportunity for a reliable individual to work as a van driver based from our Coventry site who is responsible, punctual and able to multitask while working in a team-oriented environment. Candidates must have a clean driving record and an up-to-date driver's license.

Contract: Zero Hours

Annual Salary: £13.45 per hour

Hiring Manager: Shaun Millington

Closing Date: Tuesday 22nd September 2026

You will be driving a medium wheeled van which you will collect and drop off at beginning and end of shift.

The Day to Day

  • Driving in a safe and appropriate manner; always courteous to other road users and being a great ambassador to our brand and values.
  • Due to the nature of this work you will need to ensure the temperature control of the vehicle's fridge is maintained at all times.
  • Developing and maintaining a good professional relationship with clients and staff at ALS sites.
  • Maintaining a degree of flexibility on collection runs to allow for additional requests and traffic delays.
  • Accurate completion of paperwork, recording van temperatures and sample consignments.
  • Daily checks, basic maintenance such as fluid top up and cleaning of the vehicle to be carried out.
  • Informing the Transport Manager of any client issues or other pertinent information.

The Essentials

  • Good adherence to the rules of the road and demonstrate excellent driver behavior standards.
  • Previous experience driving medium wheel base vans.
  • Have a good working knowledge of UK road networks.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be flexible and reliable.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, enthusiastic & friendly disposition.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to act upon information given and use initiative.
  • Be able to provide your own navigation however we can provide if you do not have this.
