MA Fashion Design Practices Course Leader

We are seeking an experienced academic to lead the development and delivery of the new, fully online MA Fashion Design Practices, part of the Fashion Programme within M School at Central Saint Martins. The course explores contemporary fashion design, considering emerging technologies, shifting global perspectives, and urgent environmental and social challenges. Designed to widen access for global learners, it is delivered mainly through pre-prepared materials, videos and asynchronous activities, with limited live webinars and frequent tutor feedback.

Working with UAL Online, you will develop the specialist curriculum, oversee all validated units, manage academic staff, lead teaching and assessment, and support the course's launch and growth. You will also contribute to the wider CSM M School and Fashion Programme.

About you

You will have specialist academic and leadership experience in fashion design, a strong grasp of current pedagogy and practice, and experience using digital technology as a creative design tool. You are a strong communicator and collaborator, able to support a growing team through hybrid working, bring diverse perspectives and industry voices into the curriculum, and support a globally dispersed cohort in developing their individual practices. Extensive online teaching experience isn't required, but you should be open to flexible online delivery as a way to widen access to Higher Education.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
