Course code and title: EDEA 204-001. Drawing.
Description: Development of sound drafting skills through the study of organic forms and the human figure in various media. This course is not Team taught or offered online.
Term: Fall 2026

Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):
Education:
- Master educator with an MA in a relevant field (e.g. Visual Art Education) and/or extensive relevant experience as a school artist-teacher with a background in the visual arts.
- PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset.

Experience:
- Expert knowledge of:
- Drawing canons
- Drawing skills
- Influential painting schools
- Various drawing techniques and mediums
- Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Experience as a visual arts teacher in the Quebec educational system.
- Familiarity with the Professional Competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation.
Other:
- Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset.
- Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools.
