An introduction to media that can be easily adapted to elementary classroom studio exploration. This course is not Team taught or offered online.

Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs)
Education
- Master educator with an MA in a relevant field (e.g. Visual Art Education) and/or extensive relevant experience as an artist-educator with a background in visual arts.
- PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset.

Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of:
- Using and teaching the fundamentals of basic art media for elementary classroom use.
- The place of art education in the contemporary elementary classroom.
- Inter-disciplinary connections between art and the rest of the elementary curriculum.
- Previous experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level and/or equivalent relevant teaching or professional experience.
- Experience as a visual arts teacher/instructor in the Quebec educational system.
- Familiarity with the Professional Competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation.
Other
- Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset.
- Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools.
