Description
An investigation of basic sculpture methods and concepts with a view toward developing personal aptitudes. Development of three-dimensional thinking through direct experience with processes using new and traditional materials.
This course is not Team Taught or offered online.

Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs)
Education
- Master educator with an MA in a relevant field (i.e., Art education) and/or relevant professional experience as a visual artist or artist-educator.
- PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset
Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of:
- Sculpture as an art form in which diverse materials are worked into three-dimensional art objects
- Contemporary sculpture
- Practical experience with construction, composition and notions of the elements of design
- Tools and materials needed in the creation of sculptures
- Previous experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level and/or equivalent relevant teaching or professional experience.
- Experience as a visual arts teacher in the Quebec educational system
- Familiarity with the 13 professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation.
