Explores the roles, expectations, and skills related to the task of the educational leader and the implications for school climate and effectiveness. This course is not Team taught and is offered online.

Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs)

Education:

  1. Master teacher with an MA in a relevant field (e.g., educational leadership or school administration) and/or extensive relevant experience
  2. PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset

Experience:

  1. Expert knowledge of:
    • Educational leadership in contemporary educational settings including but not limited to elementary and high schools and alternative schools in a Quebec and/or Canadian context
    • Wide range of different theories of educational leadership
  2. Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the graduate level
  3. Experience as a school administrator, institutional leader in the Quebec educational system
