Background
The School of Health & Medical Sciences supports a diverse portfolio of programmes across health and medical disciplines, with complex student and academic administration requirements across the student lifecycle. The Course Operations Manager will lead the effective delivery of course administration across the School, ensuring consistent, efficient and student-focused processes. Working with academic colleagues and Professional Services teams, the role will provide operational leadership, manage competing priorities and drive continuous improvement, ensuring course administration aligns with University regulations, quality requirements and institutional priorities. The role will be required to work across both the Clerkenwell and Tooting campuses, supporting consistent approaches and effective operational delivery across the School.

Responsibilities
The role is responsible for managing Course Operations teams and overseeing the implementation of administrative processes that support enquiry management, registration, induction, timetabling, assessment, progression, award and graduation.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have knowledge of higher education procedures, regulations and administrative processes, alongside experience managing complex operational activity within a busy, customer-focused environment. They will demonstrate strong organisation, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, interpret regulations and resolve complex issues. They will have excellent communication and relationship-building skills and the ability to influence, coordinate and delegate effectively. Experience of student records systems such as SITS, and the ability to lead, motivate and develop staff, are also essential.
