What You’ll Do
We're looking for an experienced academic or clinician to support the delivery of our MSc in Early Child Development and Clinical Applications, facilitating psychoanalytic workshops, assessing student work, and providing academic and pastoral support. You will bring expertise in psychoanalytic theory, experience of teaching or supervision, and a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
What You’ll Bring
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
- PhD, professional doctorate (or near completion), or relevant postgraduate qualification in psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, or a related field.
- Experience of teaching, supervision, and a strong understanding of psychoanalytic theory and its application to learning and practice.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging learning experiences that promote critical thinking, discussion, and practical application among students.
- Effective organisational and workload management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet competing deadlines.
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, with knowledge and/or lived experience relevant to child and parental mental health and wellbeing, and an interest in multi-perspective approaches.

- Hours: part-time (10 hours per week). Must be available to work on Thursdays and occasional Wednesdays (1-3 times per year).
- Salary: £51,245 FTE per annum, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.
- Location: hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working): this role requires in-person teaching at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH).
- Contract type: fixed-term, 12 months – starting in September 2026.
