Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Opportunity

This is more than a conventional fee-earning role. You will join an established team with an existing client base and experienced colleagues, but will have the opportunity to:

  • Take ownership of the department's day-to-day work
  • Develop and mentor colleagues
  • Improve systems, processes and workflows
  • Influence future team structure and recruitment
  • Help shape the longer-term growth of the practice
  • Progress towards departmental leadership / Head of Court of Protection

The firm is looking for someone who can build on what already works, rather than simply impose change.

About You

You will have strong and recent Property & Financial Affairs deputyship experience, together with sound knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, Court of Protection framework and OPG requirements.

You'll also bring excellent client care, organisation and communication skills and ideally experience supporting clients with acquired brain injuries or other complex needs.
