Court of Protection Solicitor
Manchester / Hybrid
We are working with a highly regarded and award-winning law firm seeking a Solicitor to join its established Court of Protection and Private Client team in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm known for its strong client-focused approach, commitment to achieving the best outcomes, and supportive working environment.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting a Deputy in managing a national caseload of high-value Property & Affairs deputyships and trust matters.
- Managing your own caseload of smaller Court of Protection matters and building your practice.
- Meeting clients and families both in and out of the office.
- Working closely with Clinical Negligence colleagues to support clients with complex needs.
- Assisting with the continued growth and development of the Court of Protection team.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- 2-5 years' PQE, ideally within Court of Protection and/or Private Client work.
- Experience handling Property & Affairs Court of Protection matters.
- A strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act, Code of Practice and Court of Protection Rules.
- Solid Private Client experience.
- Knowledge of welfare benefits.
- STEP qualification, or an interest in pursuing it.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and client care skills.
