Court of Protection Solicitor | Open on PQE and Location
Across South Wales / Bristol
A genuinely specialist opportunity within one of Wales’ leading Court of Protection teams. This is an opportunity to join an award-winning, full-service regional practice with a strong reputation for Court of Protection and mental capacity work.
The Court of Protection team is highly regarded for its health and welfare work and handles a broad range of complex matters, including welfare applications, serious medical treatment, deprivation of liberty, deputyship, and capacity issues.
The Role
As a Court of Protection Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload whilst working alongside experienced specialists / partners on complex and sensitive matters. The work will include Court of Protection applications, deputyship matters, welfare disputes, serious medical treatment, and cases involving young people moving from children’s to adult services. You will also have exposure to matters involving the Official Solicitor, families, health boards, and other professional representatives.

About You
You will be a Solicitor with experience in Court of Protection, mental capacity, mental health, or a closely related area.
You will have strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to deal with sensitive matters involving vulnerable clients and their families.
Most importantly, you will want to build a long-term career in this area of law and be looking for a team where the quality of the work and the people genuinely stand out.
