Cover Manager
Salary: Grade 8, SCP 12-20: £25,153 - £28,670 per annum* (subject to experience)
*Salary quoted before 2026 pay award
Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-organised and committed Cover Manager to plan and allocate daily cover for planned and unplanned staff absences. You will co-ordinate and support the daily timetable for Cover Supervisors and supply staff, ensuring agreed lesson plans are delivered effectively and efficiently while maintaining good order.

The role is Monday to Friday, with core working hours of 7.15am to 3.15pm.
As a small school, the role involves managing day-to-day cover as well as supervising whole classes during teachers’ absences. This includes liaising with Cover Supervisors and teachers to cover absences that arise during the school day, and booking rooms and updating the school calendar for meetings and events.

The successful Cover Manager will have excellent communication and time management skills, with strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience of Arbor would be desirable.
