We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, positive, and committed person to join our highly regarded student support team within the school.

The successful candidate will provide supervision of classes in the absence of the subject teacher. The job is not a teaching role but will require good classroom management skills as well as a confident personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to a varied and constantly changing routine.

This job allows for a large amount of autonomy in the classroom and would suit a person looking for an exciting and rewarding job, possibly before embarking further in a career in teaching.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Relish the challenge of working with young people.
  • Has a good standard of basic education.
  • Has an NVQ level 2 in a relevant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience of working with young people in a similar environment.
  • The ability to take charge of a classroom and give clear instructions and guidance to students.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our school. In return, we offer a supportive and rewarding working environment where all staff are valued and where you will have the opportunity to access a range of excellent professional opportunities to support your progression.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
