We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team as a Cover Supervisor.
The role of a Cover Supervisor is to confidently supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher, under the guidance of teaching and senior staff. This includes implementing pre-prepared work programmes, managing student behaviour, and supporting students in learning activities in line with the school's policies and procedures.
We are looking for someone who is able to:
- Manage, support and engage students in all areas of the school environment
- Support the wellbeing and educational needs of young people with SEN
- Convey information and knowledge to young people
- Develop positive and professional relationships with students and colleagues
- Show sensitivity in listening to young people’s situations and the ability to communicate positively and effectively to reach solutions
- Work successfully both individually and within a team and be able to make informed decisions
- Demonstrate a caring and understanding nature and maintain a calm, assertive approach
- Actively and proactively look ahead, predicting and preventing barriers to success

Hours: 34 hours per week. Working hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm, with a 4:00pm finish on Wednesdays and one other day (to be confirmed). Includes a 25-minute lunch break each day.
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary Scale – Band C 19-33 (£24,437 - £31,788). This is the actual annual salary and includes SEN allowance.
