Cover Supervisor | Potters Bar, Hertfordshire | Immediate Start

Are you a confident and enthusiastic graduate or aspiring teacher looking to gain valuable classroom experience as a Cover Supervisor?

A well-established secondary school in Potters Bar is looking for a Cover Supervisor to start as soon as possible. You'll cover 1-2 lessons per day, ensuring students remain focused and engaged, and work as a Teaching Assistant when not covering lessons.

Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Cover lessons across Years 7-11, following the work and resources provided by the class teacher.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain on task.
  • Support students with their learning and provide additional help where needed.
  • Work as a Teaching Assistant when not covering lessons, supporting teachers and students across the school.

  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Ideally someone who is considering teacher training in the future.
