About Us

At Pensans we believe every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and inspired to achieve their very best. We are a vibrant, inclusive primary school where curiosity is celebrated, kindness is expected, and learning is an adventure. Our staff team is united by a shared commitment: to nurture confident, resilient learners who are ready for the next stage of their journey, both academically and personally.

Role Overview

We are seeking to appoint a committed Cover Supervisor/HTLA to take a proactive role as a key member of our school. The job will include stepping into the teaching role when needed, covering PPA, leading small group interventions and helping to drive learning across the school. Working predominantly with year 5/6, you will be a steady, encouraging presence for pupils in their final year of primary school—helping them master key skills, prepare for SATs, and transition confidently to secondary education.

About You

As a Cover Supervisor/HLTA, you will:

  • Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring learning continues seamlessly.
  • Provide PPA Cover for KS2 teacher and ARB staff.
  • Lead targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy, using assessment data to adapt your approach. Input this data into assessment tools and support teachers to create, update and evaluate individual learning plans.
  • Have a commitment to inclusive practice and supporting SEND needs in KS2.
  • Model excellent classroom practice and assist other support staff. Encourage the use of ICT to advance students’ knowledge during the lesson.
  • Be happy to contribute to the wider life of the school, e.g., School council, enrichment clubs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
