Cover Supervisor – Blyth Area

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and experienced Cover Supervisor to support students across schools in and around the Blyth area. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated education professional who can step into classrooms confidently, maintain positive learning environments, and ensure continuity of education when teachers are absent.

The successful candidate will work across various educational settings, delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and supporting students to remain engaged and on-task throughout the school day.

The Role:

  • Supervise classes across different year groups and subjects, delivering pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with students, maintaining high expectations for behaviour and engagement
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a calm and productive learning environment
  • Support students to complete set tasks and activities, providing encouragement and guidance where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, senior leaders, and support staff to ensure smooth running of the school day
  • Adapt quickly to different classroom environments, age groups, and subject areas
  • Provide de-escalation support during challenging situations and follow school behaviour policies consistently
  • Take registers, monitor attendance, and report any concerns in line with school safeguarding procedures
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting the school's values and ethos at all times

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
