If you have a knack for leading groups, keeping young people engaged, and staying cool under pressure, local high schools need your energy. While the summer holidays are in full swing, our recruitment team is connecting confident, motivated individuals with secondary schools for the autumn term.
We are currently recruiting enthusiastic, assertive Cover Supervisors for secondary schools across Maghull and the surrounding Sefton areas (L31).
This is the ultimate role for classroom assistants, support workers, sports coaches, youth group leaders, or anyone looking for hands-on classroom leadership experience.

Requirements
- Practical background in SEN support, care work, youth mentoring, 1:1 assistance, or classroom support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with teenagers.
- Confidence with classroom management and handling low-level disruption assertively.
- Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness).

Key Duties
- Supervise high school classes (KS3 and KS4) during short-term teacher absences.
- Deliver pre-set work and learning instructions provided by the department.
- Maintain strong classroom control using the school’s positive behaviour policies.
- Keep students focused and on-task throughout each lesson period.
- Collect completed work and report back to the subject department head.
