This is a permanent position offered on a 0.6 FTE part-time basis from January 2027.
The Cover Supervisor is responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff and ensuring that pupils continue to engage productively in their learning.
The post holder will maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment, support pupils' wellbeing and behaviour, and contribute to the wider life of the school. This is a part-time, permanent position working 8am to 4pm three days a week during term time.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Supervise whole classes during the absence of the regular teacher.
- Effectively deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and learning activities.
- Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with the School's Behaviour Policy and expectations and to ensure pupils remain engaged and focused on learning tasks, ensuring a safe, calm and productive learning environment at all times.
- Participate in staff meetings, training and professional development activities as required.
- Support educational visits, enrichment activities and school events where appropriate.
- Contribute positively to the ethos, values and reputation of RGS Prep School.

- £16,173 per annum (actual salary)
