Goresbrook School opened in September 2014, with three classes of Reception children, and has made a tremendous progress. As a new all-through school, Goresbrook has a rare opportunity to innovate, and create a superb, continuous learning experience for children from 3-18 years. Our Primary school opened in September 2014, and our Secondary school opened in September 2016. We have the children; we have the brand-new state-of-the-art building; we now need you!
If you are passionate about your subject, and are excited by rigorous and innovative curriculum design, we are the school for you. You are very welcome to visit us, even if you don't end up applying for the post. We are 20 minutes on the tube from Mile End, and just 15 minutes drive from East London. We love to have people visit, to participate in children's learning and see what we offer our children.

As a new all-through school, Goresbrook School is attempting to do the seemingly impossible; ensure all young people, regardless of background, have the real option to succeed at a top university. Goresbrook School is an exciting new school that opened in 2016. Tenacious in approach, our team are committed to transforming the lives of students and do so through unwavering belief, positivity, creativity, hard work and collaboration. Many of us are Teach First Ambassadors but regardless of our how we came into the profession we are all determined to leave a legacy.
We are looking to recruit a committed cover supervisor to join our growing team and assist in covering a range of lessons across the school. You will be working alongside our current cover supervisors, and the Secondary teaching team, to provide high quality teaching to students in the absence of teachers. You will need to be proactive, organised, enthusiastic and able to use your initiative. As part of a small and growing team, a willingness to be flexible and develop as a professional are essential attributes of the ideal candidate. This position is well suited to someone thinking about pursuing a career in teaching and who wishes to gain some further experience before doing so.

We currently have 700 students, years 7 - 13. Our brand new sixth form opened in September 2021. Whether you are an outstanding experienced pastoral practitioner looking for a new challenge, or someone seeking your first role in education, you will play a key part in the school's development.
