Post Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary: TA3

Contract: Part time and permanent (from 18 hours to 30 hours per week, to include Wednesday and Thursdays)

  • 18 hours = £11,283 - £13,257
  • 30 hours = £18,805 - £22,094

Term time only to include TE Days

Required from: 2nd November 2026 or sooner

An exciting opportunity has become available to secure a post in one of the country’s best middle schools. The Governing Body wishes to appoint a Cover Supervisor on a part time and permanent contract. The hours will be decided in agreement with the successful candidate.

We are an oversubscribed, very popular school, and our school community is committed to excellence. Our pupils are motivated to learn, and their behaviour is outstanding. (Ofsted November 2024). In June 2025, the school was also awarded the School of Character Kitemark plus.

  • To supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers with a focus on maintaining good order, supporting pupils, responding to questions and to keep pupils on task.
  • Be a ‘people person’ demonstrating exceptional inter-personal skills.
  • Be committed to safeguarding all children.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills.
  • Motivate to inspire others in the pursuit of excellence.
  • Promote inclusion as the heart of school improvement.
